Beaded Women of Worth

Exploring more on the idea of my last post about using the image of the goddess in my Christian worship I took some of the ideas of who I am in Christ and created a couple of beaded brooches.

Rivers of Living Water

It’s been several years since I last sculpted my miniature figures, but this brooch is based on John 7:38 “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

Love that comes from a Pure Heart

Is the face any better? but perhaps that face will appeal to someone. The crown/hair is goldwork and the centre of the heart is a Rhodonite Cabochon. It’s based on 1 Timothy 1:5, “The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

Yep, faces improving. This one also combines beadwork and goldwork. It’s based on Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Well, this last one just developed as a baby under a rose embroidered blanket!

Anyway, I hope you liked them, it’s been interesting and useful to use a different technique to combine my faith and crafting.
